much too和too much因为是同样两个词，只是位置不同，还是比较容易混淆的。

那么我们怎么区别它们？

一，much too（太，实在太，非常）

much副词修饰too；too是副词，修饰形容词或副词。

也就是说，too后面是形容词或副词：

'I can walk home.'

'Don't be silly-it's much too far!'

“我可以步行回家。”

“别傻了，这太远了！”

The house was priced much too high.

这房子定价太高了。

He was driving much too fast.

他开车太快了。

This cake is much too sweet.

这个蛋糕太甜了。

You'll never marry her-she's much too good for you.

too是程度副词，修饰much。

1，too much（太多的）

much是形容词，修饰名词，即much后面是名词：

There is too much noise in this class.

这个班里太吵了。

Too much experience is a dangerous thing.

Too much water drowned the miller.

过犹不及。

（太多的水淹死了磨坊主。）

Too much knowledge makes the head bald.

学问太多催人老。

much还可以是代词，没有被它修饰的词汇：

Too much spoils, too little is nothing.

过多反坏事,太少不济时。

可以做修饰形容词，副词和动词
